What We Do
Provide Students Necessary Items
We primarily provide children in rural orphanages with necessary items. Donations will assist our team to purchase items locally, or dropped off items will be delivered twice a year when the team travels to Sri Lanka for dropp-offs. Please refer to the main page for donation items we require.
Sponsor a Student
Are you interested in sponsoring a student? The students that need your assistance are mainly older teenagers from ages 13 and up. These students will need your support as everything in Sri Lanka is expensive. These students will need a monthly stipend to make sure their basic expenses are covered. Donors can spend $30 a month to $100 a month and make a difference in a students life. These students needs you.
Donate Any Funds
We know that our donors are donating with whatever they can, and we are respectful of all the funds we are receiving. We accept any dollar amount as donations. Please note if you are paying via credit card/ debit card our organization gets charged a small convinience fee. We ask that you be aware of that fee which can range from 1%-5%.
Volunteers Needed
We cannot stress how important volunteers are for us. We need atleast few volunteers a month to visit these centers and donate the goods, or get to know these students. Volunteers expenses are responsibility of the volunteer. This is an amazing junior and senior year project for those students looking for college experiences or just summer project to do. We are also looking for adults that can help with volunteering. The cost for 15-21 dys can range from $3000-$4000.
Volunteers Teachers Needed
Anuradhapura Thalassamia Hospital needs your services. We need volunteers to help the children and work with children. As much as we are aware that we cannot have teachers every day, but we love to continue providing a service to these young patients who are at the hospital night and day waiting for blood transfusion. If you are interested in providing a service during summer break, or christmas break please connect with our team and we will provide with all the details necessary to get you to help us.
